Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Cleaning up record

I need to clean up my record but I live out of the state that the charges happened in. The charges are not mine. I never went to court or anything but now it is showing up on my record. The charges are 4 years old and it is keep me from getting a job in the state that I am currently in. I had no prior Knowledge of this being on my record till this company ran a backround check.

Re: Cleaning up record

Hello---Thank you for your question. I am assuming that since you did not know about the charges that you have a Bench Warrant out for you from this other State (California?) If so, we can help you with this, and even if their is a conviction in your name also, but we'll need some more details. You can call at: (562) 929-7422, or email me. Thanks, Attorney Woodworth

If what you mean is that someone else used your name and got charges imposed against you in error, or the authorities mistakenly identified you as their suspect and issued charges against your identity, then the process is to have an attorney deal with the court and DA to see what proof will be required to satisfy them you are not who they want. Contact me if interested in discussing the facts and fees for doing so.
