Co-Defendants

When co-defendants are tried together, can they accept seperate pleas? Also is it legal for a person in custody to not be aloowed any phone calls, or outside contact at all during trial?

By definition, having co-defendants means serious charges with serious punishment if convicted. If you are the defendant and asking these questions for yourself, it would appear you don't have an attorney to ask them of. That would be the height of foolhardiness, to represent yourself when you admit you know nothing about the process or system. If that is the case, any answer you might get here is essentially useless to you, since you wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. You can't waive a print out of the answer in the general direction of the court and expect anything to happen.

Yes, separate pleas are always the case. And yes, the court could impose no contact orders in some circumstances. If the jail is imposing them, a court order could change that.
