collecting on a judgment

I have a 31 yr.old daughter, who at

the age of 16 was attacked by a girl

and stabbed in the eye. She was

awarded a judgment of $2 million

dollars at the time, but has yet to

collect anything on it. What would be

the steps to take to get the

judgment enforced? Thank you

Where was the case in california or Nevada? Was an attorney involved? Was the judgment ever renewed?

First, you should consult your lawyer to review all your options. I presume there was a lawyer representing your daughter . . .

I am currently in a similar situation trying to collect on a civil judgment. I chose to go with a judgment enforcement specialist who does not cost me any money but has agreed to take on the case for a portion of the recovered amount. If she didn't properly renew the judgment, it died at the end of ten years. If she did renew, she tries to collect like anyone else by researching if there are any assets to collect against and going after them. If there is still a valid judgment, feel free to contact me for the legal help she'll need.
