What are the consequences of moving without telling your probation officer?
My boyfriend just got out of jail in november, and has been on probation since then. he moved to a different county without asking his probation officer first. he hasnt had any other problems with his probation, but when his probation officer went to check in on him at the address he gave him, he wasnt there. a warrant was issued and he was arrested three days later. what could be the consequences of this? will he get more jail time

If you violate your probation, you go back to jail.

Your boyfriend could be sent back to prison to serve out the remainder of his sentence. He might be able to avoid such a dire outcome, but he will need a good lawyer.
