Conterfit Money in California

I was paid for weekend laybor with a conterfit $1oo bill. I'm charged with P.C. 648. I did not know until I tryed to pay for something with the bill. Should I hire a lawer?

Absolutely. Very few laypeople can effectively defend themselves in court. Based upon what you have written you are innocent, but if you try to handle this without a lawyer you will probably lose in court.
