Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I was convicted of battery on my spouse in 2001. I checked the public records in that county and they show 2 things. First the case was closed in 2004, second the file was purged in 2006. Will this still show up on a background search? This was in California.

Records are forever. If the conviction was expunged. then that is what will show.
