In Los Angeles, the filing fee is around 60 dollars. You can attempt to do it on your own or , if you retain counsel, attorneys usually add many things to the motion which may increase your chances of it being granted the first time. At least talk to an attorney versed in these matters before you proceed.

You can't seek expungement if you were sentenced to any prison time, nor IF the charges involved certain sex crimes or domestic violence. IF you successfully completed all tems of probation, and are qualified to seek it, feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need, and discuss the costs.
