Helping someone avoid discovery or arrest, or helping in the crime. Not good. It usually carries the same penalties as the original crime.

Aiding and abetting means you were an accomplice to some crime, felony or misdemeanor. Often, it does not take much to be liable as an accomplice. Everything of course depends on particular facts and circumstances.
