Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Can a criminal prosecution be moved from municipal court to superior court?

I know that a criminal case can be remanded to a lower court, but can a criminal prosecution be moved from municipal court to superior court?

What would be the circumstances? (ie: as the investigation proceeds more details come to light or the revelation of a previous conviction for a similar offense?)

Is there anything that the victim should provide the prosecuting attorney regarding that kind of information?

There is no longer a municipal court, hasn't been in some years, it's all consolidated in Superior Court.

If you're talking about reducing charges from felony to misdemeanor, that's a different animal, handled by plea bargaining. If that's actually the case, and you're serious about getting counsel, feel free to contact me.

The distinction between California's municipal and superior courts was abolished several years ago. They're all superior courts now.
