Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

criminal record

hi,i am applying for a california

contractor license.They want to

know about my criminal record.I

have never been convicted of any

felonys but i had mistmeanors when

i was in my teens.I can t remember

which ones since it as been over 20

years.Years ago i received a letter

from the gov and signed by Bill

Clinton pardoning me from all

previous convictions.I can t find this

letter and don t know how to get a

copy.There s a warant lingering on

my record since 1987 and i need to

go in front of a judge to clear it but i

dont want to go see a judge without

that letter.I have a valid driver

license with a clean diving record so i

know that warrant isn t valid.I have

been pulled over many time since

1987 and never had a problem but

the warrant still exist only in the city

of van nuys,ca.I can t get my license

until the warrant is cleared from my

record.please let me know where or

who to contact to get the proof that i

have been exonorated,thanks for

your time

Well, you've got quite a background and story; pardons are rare. A criminal attorney should be able to help locate what you need, and represent you in court. I do it frequently. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.

Should the pardon be available, you are in good shape with court most likely. If it is not, I can still help you get the information you need to the state contractors board, and have done so with large clients in the past.

Should one of my clients allow it, you can discuss the matter with him at your leisure.
