do i have to write down my criminal history if I am no longer on probation in a job application

If they ask if you have been convicted of a crime, just getting off probation doesn't change that. The only way to legally tell employers on a job application (with some exceptions) is to get your criminal conviction expunged.

Your conviction will always be there otherwise.

Records are forever. Just getting off probation doesn't make your record disappear. If you lie on a job application and omit your convictions, you can be fired immediately upon them learning the truth, which they will when they check your record.

IF your conviction didn't result in prison time sentenced, and if it wasn't for sexual violence offenses, you may be able to get your record 'expunged' by Motion and Application to the court, so that you could then say 'no' to conviction. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting that done.
