Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

criminal records minor infraction

I have never been arrested or convicted of a crime. I recently ran a background check on myself and noticed two criminal records (both appear to be minor traffic infractions).

Why are these on my report ?

Can they be removed ?

The report shows only the case number, county convicted, and disposition. There is no information under offense date

sentence date or sentence length.

Re: criminal records minor infraction

Ordinary traffic violations are not criminal in nature and they do not lead to arrests or convictions, so the entries you found probably do not amount to a criminal record.

Your question does not deny the accuracy of the information you found, so I presume they reflect tickets you actually received. You can't get accurate information removed from your record.

You check directly with the courts to find out what these are. If they are actually in error, then you file motions to correct and remove them from the record. If interested in doing so, contact me.
