Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was requested to answer questions in an investagation and was promptly arrested for receiving stolen goods because the arresting officer stated he used to work ''Narcostics''. I am innocent and don't know where to turn or what to do.

Hire an attorney. Don't make any more statements to police or anyone else except your attorney.

The best thing you can do is to hire a lawyer. Look for one who does mostly, if not all, criminal defense. Don't believe that just because you are innocent, that you will be able to merely walk away from this. There are a lot of innocent people in prison. Best of luck to you.
