DA drops charges
I have a foster son who was arested on allegations of lewd acts with a minor, but then the DA droped the charges and he was released because there was not enough evidence. Can they bring up these charges again?

Re: DA drops charges
Depending upon the exact charge, the case can be filed during the applicable statute of limitations...misdemeanors 1 year, felonies, 3, 6 years as a general rule, there are some extentions that are not necessary for this answer....A prudent person may assume the investigation might continue and hire counsel now.
