Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Deadly Weapon
Pulled over for Drinking - Blood alcohol level .85 - while searching my truck the police found a ''night stick'' a friend had given me the night before. I just found out I am being charged with concealing a deadly weapon (cops said was worse than having a gun) - I had no idea of this!!! I have a record, but have been a normal citizen for years. What do I do?

Re: Deadly Weapon
The first thing you need to do is hire a competent attorney. Someone that deals with criminal cases like this as part of their practice. I am such an individual. My practice consists exclusively of criminal defense and I have had great success in LA Co, Orange Co, San Berd Co, Riv. Co, and Ventura Co. Having handled hundreds of criminal cases I have the experience that you need on your side.
It is doubtful as to whether a DA can make a concealed weapon out of a nightstick. That in and of itself is a great issue.....i believe that it is one that I could win for you.....secondly, your dui issue is also worth noting.....it appears that you have a "borderline" reading on your blood/alcohol level. Because it is so close to being "sober" you need a good dui attorney to help you with that situation as well.
