Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I am desperately trying to find help for my dear friend. He was falsly accused of charges and was found innocent on all charges, however, the charges still appear on his record and it lists as acquitted. How can we make these dissappear? The nightmare is finally over and these charges still haunt him and his loved ones. What do we do?

Records are forever, they don't 'disappear'. He could try to have the court 'seal' the records through a motion establishing sufficient good cause, and could even try to obtain a court ordered finding of 'factual innocence'. BTW: it is unlikely he was found 'innocent', but rather was found 'not guilty' when the prosecutor failed to prove the charges. Not Guilty does not even imply innocent, let alone is it a finding of innocence. If serious about trying, feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need.
