Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Do I disclose a CITATION on a job application?

Hello,

When I was in college, I received a citation for trespass as a result of using the Faculty hot tub. I did not get fingerprinted or go to court. My Lawyer made a plea and I received 20 hours of community service. When I apply for jobs, there's always a question asking if I have ever been convicted of a crime, etc. Do I need to disclose the citation? I never know if I should answer ''Yes'' or ''No''.

If that plea was in court, not some school administration proceeding, then you have a conviction on your record, unless the case was dismissed without conviction upon you completing the community service; sometimes that occurs. If you want to sort this out, and get it expunged from your record if possible, feel free to contact me.
