Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

dismissing or expunging a fugitive from justice charge from your record

I was arrested and charged in Las Vegas for felony failure to stop on signal of a police officer. I missed my court date and a warrant was issued. I was arrested in California, my home state, for felony fugitive from justice. No other charges were filed against me when I was arrested in California. The felony fugitive case status in CA is “discharged”. I am currently on felony probation. Once I have successfully completed the terms of my probation, my charge will be dropped to a gross misdemeanor. I am 6 months into a 3 year probation term. Can I do anything about the CA fugitive from justice charge now or will I first have to successfully complete the NV court requirements? I’m not sure if this is a factor or not but, my probation is in the process of being transferred from NV to CA. On a joking note, what happens in Vegas definitely does not stay in Vegas. I thank you in advance for your knowledge.

You'll have to successfully complete all terms of probation in the CA case to qualify to apply for expungement [it may be possible to apply for early termination after a minimum of a year without problems]. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss the help you'll need.
