domestic violence

how do i file a motion to have my record expundged? All court orders have been met and all fines and penalties paid.

You can attempt this on your own or you retain an attorney. I always suggest speaking with a criminal law attorney first. Its usually free so you have nothing to lose. My office has done 100's of the motions and its best to find a firm with experience. David Wallin

Your conviction probably can be expunged, and you have nothing to lose by trying. However, you need to understand that expungement does not 'remove' it from your record, only changes it to show 'conviction retroactively expunged'. Records are forever. The benefit is to allow you to say 'no' to conviction on most private employment applications. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me.
