Re: drug charges

Even without prior record, guns plus lots of drugs plus other evidence of sales or intent to sell can easily equal significant prison time. Guns especially have a tendency to make a typical drug possession case a lot more complicated.

You should not lose hope but do your homework and hire an effective lawyer with a track record in getting good results in drug related crimes. It might be possible your case can be beaten or negotiated down probation.

Re: drug charges

Possession of a controlled substance including methamphetamines for sale violates, among other sections, Health and Safety Code Sec. 11351. This carries a sentence of 24, 36 or 48 months in a state penitentiary.

If this is your first offense, hire a private attorney. A private attorney may at least be able to plea this to a misdemeanor depending on other circumstances. There are other deals that can be worked out as well. However, only a private defense attorney will have the time to devote to your case as opposed to the public defender.

Years in prison on state and federal charges, depending on what charges they file. Get an attorney. If this is in SoCAL, feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.
