Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Drugs at school / Forced confession

My child had obtained 1 zanex and 3 somba pills, she threw them away at school, another student had taken some other pills and mentioned my child, security told my child that the other kid would die if my child did not tell them what the other kid took and they got my child to tell them where she had thrown the pills. My child is 15 and never been in any trouble. There were 6 guards who forced statements from my child including who the pills came from in a written statement. My child repeated asked to call me and was not allowed. This all happend over a 5 hour period, a policeman came and issued a citiation with a court date and her rights were read to her at that time. Within 15 minutes of her written statement she was receiving threats from the kid she obtained the pils from. What are the cances of this ticket /case being dismissed? What should we do know before the court date? How can I protect my child at school now?

Chances of dismissal of charges? Nil.

What should you know? That she faces prosecution and jail; and that she need legal counsel. Get it for her.
