Re: DUI on an L1A visa
Generally speaking, a DUI conviction is not a deportable offense unless illicit drugs are involved. That said, the exact impact on his kind of visa needs to be checked. Also, keep in mind that even if your brother is not immediately deportable, any conviction will most likely be used against him if and when he applies for a visa renewal. Decision to either grant or not grant a visa is completely discretionary and capricious with the ICE authorities.
All in all, your brother needs a good DUI lawyer but also someone who is good and thorough in dealing with immigration consequences of criminal convictions. Feel free to check out my website and the immigration and crime section. Feel free to give me a call if you are looking for a criminal defense/DUI lawyer in Southern California. I am overseas right now but will do my best to get back to you as quickly as I can.

Only if he is convicted will he be deported. Get him a good lawyer.
Re: DUI on an L1A visa
Yes, if convicted. Get him counsel and make sure they know the visa issue. If this is in SoCAL, feel free to contact me for that legal help.
Re: DUI on an L1A visa
Your brother neeeds a DUI lawyer, who will know how to challenge the prosecution's case and evidence, and, even in the worse case scenario, finesse things so that visa-related fallout is minimized. For more information, check out our web site.
