Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Embezzlement
what actions can be taken by the OCC 2 years after I was accused of taking funds in the amount of 59,670.00 with another employee?I recieved a letter from them stating the funds were recovered but that they are contemplating the initiation of a administrative proceeding against me. Wht exactly does this mean? there was never a criminal prosecution. The other employee admitted to most of it and payed off the amount in full.

Re: Embezzlement
The Office of Comptroller of the Currency can have you declared ineligible for employment at a national bank. As far as I know they can't fine you or make you pay money. The three letter agency to worry about is the FBI. If they contact you, say, I want an attorney, make no other statements.
Re: Embezzlement
If they have any facts to support it, they could fire you, sue you, and charge you criminally. Sounds like you need an attorney. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting help.
