Are you talking about inflicting corporal injury/domestic violence under Penal Code 273.5?

The prosecution would have to prove you had a specified relationship with the other person (married or former spouse, had a child together, dating or had previously dated, etc.), you used some sort of physical force on him or her, and that force resulted in a physical injury, even a slight one.

If a jury believed the testimony of the injured person, that alone would be enough to convict you.

Evidence of relationship to the victim, and evidence of force/hitting/trauma/injury/etc. If you've been charged with this, or may be, say nothing to anyone except your attorney. If serious about getting legal counsel, feel free to contact me.
