Re: expunge

If the offense could have been charged as a misdemeanor, you could file a motion with the court to have the charge reduced to a misdemeanor and then "expunged." If the felony charge can't be reduced to a misdemeanor, and you have had no criminal involvement in the last 5 years, you could apply for a certificate of pardon and rehabilitation.

In other words it depends on the facts of the original case, plus your criminal record (if any) since then.

Re: expunge

Unless you were actually innocent, and got pressured, tricked or threatened into pleading to it, you can't. If those conditions are actually true and you think you can prove it, you should give me a call. I'm one of the few people around who will pursue vacating a conviction and then getting a factual innocence order granted. It does not matter if it was many years ago either. There are ways around the time delay.

Re: expunge

Many convictions can be 'expunged' by application and Motion to the court, but in your case only if there was no prison time served or even sentenced, and if you completed all terms of probation. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need.

Re: expunge

There is a difference between expungement and vacating or setting aside judgment. Expungement is fairly straightforward if you did not do state prison time and you have been crime free. Vacating a judgment, which would clean up your record completely, is more complicated but might be doable even if a conviction took place long time ago.

If interested, feel free to contact my office to discuss grounds/reasons why your conviction could be vacated.
