Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Expungement....

2003 guilty charge of burglary in san diego, ca

2005 completed school and applied for a medical/professional license in the state of california of which was initially denied

2006 received probationary license to practice

2007 case/charges expunged and applied for early termination of probation on my professional license - granted

the licensing body in the state of california continues to have my criminal charges/information on the internet.

Q: is it legal for my information to be put out there as it is on the internet even after my expungement was granted?

Re: Expungement....

Records are forever. Whoever told you that expungement 'removed' it or made it 'disappear' was not well informed. It merely changes it to show 'conviction set aside per expungement'. You still have to fully disclose on any licensing application.

I would not think so. Make a demand to have them removed at risk of defamation action. Contact me directly.
