Expungment

If you have been charged with the crime and found guilty can u still expunge your record? Also what if you have admited to the crime and have already served your probation?

Once probation has been completed you can request that the conviction be expunged. Contact the probation office and request the form and the cost of requesting the expungment. unless you have a unique situation that should result in an expungment.

You MUST have completed probation for your misdemeanor conviction, and had no further charges, in order to qualify for expungement. Felony conviction is much more difficult to expunge. Expungement allows you to say 'no conviction' on most job applications and other similar inquiries. Your attorney can prepare and file the Petition if the case and facts qualify you for expungement.
