expungment laws

live in michigan have felony about 10-11 years ago in california want to know how to get record expunged so i can go into the field of work i want to nursing home work. michigan has law no felon can work in nursing home with a felony for 15 years

Expungment MAY be possible if no prison time was served or ordered, and certain other exceptions met, but after expungment the conviction still has to be disclosed on applications to govt agencies like nursing boards, and the conviction will still show up [as expunged] on govt agency record checks. The real benefit to expungment is saying 'no' to conviction on private employer applications. If you still want it done, contact me to discuss facts and costs.
