Re: false police report

Filing a false police report is charged as a misdemeanor under California's penal code. If the individual is not a U.S Citizen it can have dramatic negative impact on her immigration, if she is then the matter is plea bargained.

Re: false police report

This is an extremely unusual event you have described. I have for decades seen the most clearly proven false accusations by women result in no charges whatever, and you say that one that seems likely a mistaken perception DID result in charges. Highly unusual. I am suspicious of why the police would do this, or the D.A. Is it possible the person she suspected of drugging her was connected to police or local government?

To answer your question, she has little choice but to vigorously defend against these charges, to avoid any conviction that could ruin her future career path, as well as other areas of her life.

Re: false police report

Defend the charges. Hire an attorney if she doesn't know how to do so herself.
