Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I have been falsely accused of two felony charges, hitting someone with a vehicle and fleeing the scene. I hired a lawyer, but I am wondering if there is anything in the law that can dismiss the case prior to trial. There seems to be alot of inconsistencies in the plaintiff's case. The DA keeps post poning and deal and I seems to be delayed.

Sorry, but there's no way to guess. Your lawyer is in the best position to be able to answer. They know the case - we don't.

Problems with the prosecution's evidence are resolved at trial, not before. Unless your lawyer can persuade the prosecutor to dismiss the case, you will have to either go to trial or make a deal. Your lawyer will help you get the best result available to you.

Good luck.
