Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
when a family hides the real molester
I have questions about a what a neighbor is doing. My neighbors child 6 was molested by a 12 year old but at first they blamed a one time babysitter that is kid down the street 13. They see the justice spin out of control what they are doing to the 13 year old and they let the 13 year old be the scapegoat. The 13 year old is taking the blame for the real molester. The dad of the 6 year old is in business with the father of the molester. The psychologist called cps but the family will not give the last name or allow anyone in their home to arrest the real molester. Is this legal?

Re: when a family hides the real molester
The actual parties to this have legal rights that can be explained by their attorneys after full discussion and disclosure of all the facts and interpretation of the applicable laws and charges that may be brought. The answer to "Is this legal"? has no meaning or usefulness other than to them.
