Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Felonies dropped to misdermeaners

I just wanted to know how do I go about getting my charges dropped to a lesser crime. Its been 4 years since my conviction I completed my probation and I have been working for the past 3 years. I have a total of 2 felonies that are very old and I am seeking better employment please assist me and help me with this. I am in the state of california and I believe that I have felonies from Torrance court and Norwalk court. They both are nonviolent felonies mainly petty theft, petty with priors. I highly appreciate your time. Thank you and have a good day.

Re: Felonies dropped to misdemeanors

It is very possible to get your felonies reduced to misdemeanors, and then expunged, too, so that you can deny their existence when you apply for most jobs. However, that said, it is a challenging task, best left in the hands of a criminal lawyer. And there are some limitations with expungement beyond the scope of this email which you should know about. If you'd like to talk to me about these matters, don't hesitate to contact me. I'd be happy to give you a free consultation. Steve Mandell

Expungement may be available if no prison time was ordered or served, and if the convictions aren't for certain violence/abuses charges. Contact me if interested in doing it right.
