felony burglary
i wandered into a convalescent home, where i guess there have been multiple break ins. i did not know there was anyone in the room i went into until i got nabbed. i had no malicious intentions never been in any trouble before. the officer never read me my rights and punched me in the face. what could i be looking at?

Residential burglary is a serious charge; it is a strike. To charges require a showing of some criminal intent to commit a crime inside, such as to steal something, for example.
If you have a good explanation for why you were inside without any criminal intent, you would be guilty of trespass only. However, you need a good lawyer to represent you effectively.
