I have 2 felony convictions that are over 10 years old for asaughlt and forgery. What the steps I can take to getting my record expunged or do i have to get it reduced to a misdemeanor first. I have not been in any trouble since then

Re: Felony conviction
You can either contact and attorney or the court where you were convicted to determine all the steps. This assumes that your convicted crimes can be expunged.
Re: Felony conviction
You MAY be able to get them expunged, IF you were not sentenced to any prison time, IF they were not for any form of sex or domestic abuse crime, and if you successfully completed all terms of probation. If you think you qualify, and are serious about doing this, feel free to contact me to discuss the process and issues.
Re: Felony conviction
Reduction to misdemeanor and expungement can be done at the same time under the same petition/motion. You will first need to find out whether your convictions can indeed to reduced - sometimes they can, sometimes they cannot be.
You can try to do this yourself by calling the court clerk for the appropriate forms. Alternatively, a lawyer could do this for you for a modest fee. Hiring a lawyer might be a good idea because if your convictions took place at different times, you are likely to get opposition from the prosecution that at least your first conviction should not be expunged.
