Since you did not serve prison time, and assuming you have no other convictions after that, it may be possible to get the felony reduced to a misdemeanor and then expunged. It takes the courts anywhere from a few weeks to a couple months typically, to handle the process. Contact me if interested to discuss the facts, likelihood, and costs.

The fees for these services will vary based on a number of factors which you don't mention. You also mention getting a dismissal or reduction of the offense to a misdemeanor. These are very different procedures and the costs will depend on what needs to be done. The length of time it would take is likewise a question that needs additional information to answer. Generally, it will take a couple of months, but it can be faster or slower. If you'd like to review the situation with me, I'd be happy to provide a free consultation. Steve Mandell

If the charge is vehicle 10851 it can be reduced to a misdemeanor and dismissed. This can be accomplished by obtaining a form from the probation department and submit it with the required fee. It usually takes 90 days to complete this process.
