Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Felony gun charge drop to misdmeanor

I have a great friend who made a stupid mistake when he was 18 years old.

He was caught with a weapon and now has a felony gun charge against him.

Considering that this happen 10 years ago, He was 18 and is now 28. Is there any way that the charge can be dropped to a misdmeanor?

With this charge doors for jobs are shut left and right in his face. He made a stupid mistake but does this mean that he will never be able to shake this?

Thank you for your time

In need of some helpful suggestions.

Re: Expungement---Felony gun charge

Hello---Yes, your friend can apply to the Court to reduce the Felony to a Misdemeanor, and then, to expunge the Misdemeanor itself, so that if he has lived an upstanding, crime-free life since the Felony, it is erased from his record. For more details on this process, and ramifications, have him give me a call at: (562) 929-7422, or email me. Attorney George Woodworth

There are procedures to 'expunge' the record and end up with the conviction set aside and dismissed. Have him contact me to discuss.
