Never.

That is, unless you can get it expunged by motions to the court. If you served or were sentenced to any prison time, or if it were for many sex crimes, it can't be expunged. If you think you qualify, feel free to contact me.

A felony conviction never drops off the department of justice, crime files. Subject to limitations however, I can probably expunge (Clear) your prior felony conviction record.

Nothing is ever really taken off your record. You can do what is called an expungement which has some uses. For example, it would allow you not to disclose the conviction if ever asked about it on a job application.

If you received a probationary sentence you can most likely expunge at the end of your probation. No expungement if you went to state prison.

A clarification to Mr. Lentz's response:

Felonies cannot be expunged. Expungement is only available for misdemeanors. However, many felony convictions can be reduced to misdemeanors after the defendant successfully completes his sentence, including any probation after he is released from custody. The misdemeanor can then be expunged.

Not all felony convictions can be reduced to misdemeanors. You should consult with a lawyer to find out whether yours can and, if so, whether you are likely to qualify.
