Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Can I get a Felony Removed from my record

I have a conviction of P 487.a, was sententected to county jail and had probation and a fine. Probation was completed and fine was paid. this was in 1994. Can this be taken off my record and if so how? And how much would it cost and would I have to appear as I now leave far away.

What you describe is most probably a motion to have the offense reduced to a misdemeanor and then expunged. This is not at all expensive, but you should use a lawyer who is in the county where your case was filed.

It can likely be 'expunged' so that you can say 'no' to conviction on most private employment applications. It is not too expensive to do through counsel, and you will generally not need to appear in court. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing this.

You may be able to have it expunged. If represented, then your attorney may appear on your behalf. Under $ 1K contact me directly.

Looks like you could both have it reduced to misdemeanor and expunged. A lawyer would handle this for a modest fee.
