Re: felony removel

With difficulty, but it is sometimes possible, depending on the facts -- whether you did prison time, the charges, and other issues. Feel free to contact me with the details to see if it can be expunged, and what the costs would be.

Re: felony removel

The best ways are:

-- Not every "felony" stays a felony. If you did not do state prison time, in many cases you can file a motion to have the charge reduced to a misdemeanor, then (assuming you completed probation) you can get it expunged.

-- If you did do state prison time, after 5 years of a clean record you can apply for a certificate of pardon and rehabilitation.

Re: felony removel

Some Felony convictions are considered wobblers, that means they can be reduced to misdemeanors. If it is a wobbler, our office will make a motion to hte court requesting the felony to be reduced to a misdemeanor and then expunge your record. Call me, Arthur Khachatourians, ESQ. @323-655-7180 or 818-590-8294 to help you in this matter.

Re: felony removel

As the others have answered, there are 2 steps to take. First, get the felony reduced to a misdemeanor, if it qualifies. A quick conversation with a lawyer can determine if it's possible. Second, get it "expunged." This is always available unless you went to prison for the felony. However, there are some serious limitations with "expunged" convictions, and a slightly longer conversation with a criminal lawyer can explain these limitations and help you decide if this process is one which can really benefit you. If you'd like to talk to me about this stuff, don't hesitate to call. Steve Mandell 310 393 0639
