Re: want to get felony's off record

With due regard to Mr. Nelson, if the felony is in Nebraska, you cannot get it expunged because Nebraska does not have expungement. You can either have the conviction set aside, or you can apply for a pardon. Neither will erase the record of your arrest, and the conviction will still be usable in a few limited circumstances.

The key questions you must answer before deciding which, if any, to apply for, are these:

1. What was the penalty you received? (probation, fine, jailtime)

2. Did you complete all sentence requirements?

3. When were you convicted?

After you have answered those questions, I can give you more specific answers to what you may qualify for.

Qualify. If any prison time was sentenced - no expungement. Some felonies are not expungeable, such as domestic violence, and related charges. If you've completed all terms of probation, and if you think you qualify, feel free to contact me to discuss the process and costs. It requires filing motions with the court.
