Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Firearms rights restoring
I plead guilty in a Plea bargain agreement to the following charges: PC 550(B)(1), VC 23153(A), and PC 273A(A). I was sentenced to 1 year in county jail and 36 months formal probation. I have since completed my probation with out any problems and have been released from probation. i was told that because I agreed to this plea bargain that after i completed probation i could have my charges reduced to misdameanors and expunged. After this is done will my rights to own firearms be restored? How do I get this done?

Re: Firearms rights restoring
No, but expungement is the first step, then you must apply for a pardon for full constitutional rights and in particular, to bear arms. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
Re: Firearms rights restoring
Conviction of a felony, even if expunged, does not restore firearm rights. It can be done, but is tough to accomplish. Contact me if interested in pursuing.
