Potentially the death penalty if convicted. Get yourself a good expensive attorney to defend you properly, and to answer your questions based on the detailed facts.

Re: firt degree murder

It is impossible to predict what will happen in any case, of course. It is also difficult to give you much of a meaningful response because you provide little information. However, if the only basis for the first degree murder charge is the statement of one person, that evidence is a bit weak. The prosecution will need much more, and will get much more, to bolster their case. Of course, if the one witness will say that you admitted you were planning the murder, that is much stronger. If you believe you are, or might be, the subject of a first degree murder charge, you need to hire a VERY good laywer now.

Gee whiz. Usually the first thing that happens when you get accused of First Degree Murder is they kick down your door at about 5:00 AM and arrest you. Then they hold you on $1 million bond or so. If this describes your situation and you can afford a good lawyer, now is the time to hire one.
