Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Fixing Criminal Record

I live in Sacramento County, Ca. Are there any attorneys You recommend that I can go to who can look at my record and see what I can fix, and if I have strikes, are those permanent ? I am basically looking for no-charge attorneys, just for the reviewing process right now. Thanks

Re: Fixing Criminal Record

I'm sorry, but why do you think anyone would want to provide you their professional services for free, that they charge for in order to earn a living? I doubt your dentist, auto mechanic, plumber, grocery store, or gardener would do so either.

If you do your own research by contacting the court clerk and obtaining a copy of the minute order [record] of each conviction, you then can consult with an attorney to see what the costs and fees would be to 'fix' your record, to the extent possible, by filing motions to expunge those convictions that may be eligible. The fees for expungement are typically several attorney billing hours each. It does not have to be a local attorney. I do these proceedings all over the state. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting this done, now that you know the process.
