My friend is being investigated for fraud for forging personal checks. I think he has taken $3000.00 US dollars. What would be his prison time if he gets convicted?

Depends on the charges and the facts. Tell 'him' to get an attorney. Have him contact me if serious about doing so, if the case is in SoCal.
