forgery charges
my girlfriend has been charged with felony forgery charges ,and is now in century regional lock up awaiting hearing date of may 17th .if she is ready to make a deal with d.a. how is this done,she was charged at van nuys california

It's done through her attorney, who will negotiate for her. That's what they get paid to do. Before offering ANY such deal, she needs to consult with counsel to make sure she is doing the right thing. If she qualifies for the Public Defender, request appointment. If she doesn't, she'll need to hire private counsel. Otherwise, she'll just be at the 'mercy' of the DA. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting private counsel.

Everything goes through counsel at the hearing...the if, when , what, etc of the deal are decided by her and her counsel
