Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
forgery on notarized document
I am co-owner in a home with my boyfriend. just found out he acquired 1 or 2 equity lines of credit without my signature. I found a bank document with my forged signature on it, which says I agree or know about the loan. it is a notarized document .I did not sign this document. How can I find out who did and bring charges of fraud?

Re: forgery on notarized document
"who did?" --> Your boyfriend. His fraud is a defense to you if you are sued for the debt. Your remedy is to get him to pay off the debt and cancel the accounts, thus clearing the lien on the property.
