Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I was found guilty in the supreme court for Identity fraud. was sentenced to 1 year in county jail, and remanded to a drug program for 6 month that I had to pay for. My question is: Since I was convicted by the court, isn't the state responsible for paying the bill for the recovery house. it cost me 35,000 per month, or 6 months

Your sentence is a consequence of your actions, not the state's. The state did not create your drug problem, and it did not commit your crimes. Its taxpayers should not have to bear the costs of your punishment or your treatment.

If they were, they would have done so. The cost was part of your punishment.
