Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

my friend was in charge of the bookeeping for a little league team. She is being accused of embezzlementby one of the team parents. How should she proceed?

First and foremost - she should NOT make any statements to anyone about this.

Next - keep copies of everything she has before it goes to the police and/or league.

Third (and this needs to happen quickly along with numbers 1 & 2) is to retain a local criminal defense attorney. Not your neighbor's friend who happens to be a lawyer, but a criminal defense attorney.
