Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My friend has four felony charges for marijuana in California. Possetion, manufacturing, sale, and transporting. What is the likelyhood they will travel to Florida to extradite him back for the offense?

IF he is arrested on the warrant in FL or anywhere else, CA is more than likely to extradite. If so, he will need a lawyer. Have him contact me if the cases are om SoCal court.

It's unlikely that California law enforcement would travel to Florida to get him..... but that's not how extradition usually works.

The cops only pick up suspects in high profile cases. When most suspects are extradited, they get turned over to a regional transportation company, which will put the prisoner on a bus and hand him off to another regional company at the other side of its service area. Along the way, there can be overnight stops at jails, prisons and private holding facilities.

A trip from Florida to California could even wind its way though New England, the Great Lakes states, or the Pacific Northwest, and take more than a month.

It's impossible for someone who knows nothing about the case to predict how badly California wants him, but those are pretty serious charges, so he might find himself on a bus ride from hell.
