Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
a friend of mine was driving my car because I don't have a license. we were pulled over for "not turning the blinker on soon enough before turning". after being pulled over and verifying that the driver had license she was asked to do a sobriety test. After passing all of the tests they gave her, we were taken down to the station where she was then given a blood test and was slapped with a dui. Which caused me to have my car towed I was recently informed by a lawyer that the cops pulled us over for expired registration. The car was recently bought off the lot In Sept and we were pulled over in nov. Im currently on felony probation for possession of a concealed weapon and now im dealing with this possession charge. So my question is how do I handle this case? Im a ex-felon whose done aprox 10 years total in prison and has a long rap sheet.

You don't mention any charges against you at all. Why don't you pay the appropriate fees and get the car out of impound.
What case? You weren't charged with anything, you have to pay the tow and impound fees if you want the car back.
She has to fight the DUI. If she is serious about hiring counsel to help in this, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be.
